I hadn\u2019t even realised it was a local public holiday. To be honest it\u2019s one of those that doesn\u2019t really seem to have much meaning to me, nor I\u2019m sure many others, other than an excuse for a day off. Such a pity, as nowadays they\u2019re excellent opportunities to build community spirit.
