    Farcebook Chapter 2…

    2010 - 01.25

Is it a reasonable assumption that Advertisers that show up on Farcebook pages support the views of those conveyed on the sites? Possibly not, but they obviously don’t mind trying to score coverage so perhaps they should pay the price. I suggest a site that names every advertiser that appears on “racist” Farcebook pages and we MAKE THE ASSUMPTION that they therefore endorse such views. Since they obviously don’t make an effort NOT to be displayed by requesting facebook filter their advertisements from such pages, isn’t that a reasonable assumption? We do know they make choices about where they are placed on TV and in other media. Still it may not be so, but should they get the good without the bad? After all money speaks…apparently.

    Farcebook…

    2010 - 01.24

It seems that every time I visit someone who’s logged into Facebook at the time I’m even more astounded than the last with the amount of mindless Neo-nazism, other assorted Bigotry and poor spelling. It needs to be renamed to Farcebook. Interestingly certain Government impositions won’t be filtering such social perniciousness. Perhaps it’s a “good” thing that not every home has internet yet: and that’s as much comment as I think it warrants!

    Just Work…

    2009 - 12.29

Today was a hard day at work! I spent the day driving to Geelong & Lorne for the day’s work. Fuck my days can be hard… 😉

    Late Spring Cleaning…

    2009 - 12.28

Part of yesterday and today’s been allocated to those frustrating, annoying tasks that get put on the back burner for so long they become bigger than Ben Hur in the Mind. Yesterday morning and this afternoon were spent sorting through and testing the plethora of Passwords that we end up for systems over the years, and also assessing another horde of old hardware of which I’ve managed to relieve myself of half.

    Through the Wall…

    2009 - 12.20

Finally Kicked Zathrian’s arse! Making progress through Dragon Age again…

An end in sight, but over the Horizon…

    2009 - 12.19

I need to finish at least 2 games before I can buy Mass Effect 2. So at the moment I’m rotating between Dead Space and Dragon Age. Dead Space scored the hit for today, I’m fighting the Leviathan in Chapter 6 at the moment. Meanwhile, in Dragon Age I’m hopefully just about to finish off the Danish Elves area, just run into a little snag.

    An upgrade at no cost…

    2009 - 12.19

Changed the connection for my Xbox 360 over to HDMI today. Somewhat surprised by the difference. I’d thought it was pretty good on the standard Component Cable. However, it’s sharper, richer and no noticeable sound difference (which I’d expected). It’s going to stay that way now.

A second bite of the “apple”…

    2009 - 12.10

This has to rate as my most extravagant “impulse” buy of all, Furbag is a tad concerned about her food supply now…

    A slip indeed

    Over the Border…

    2009 - 11.15

Been pissing myself laughing playing Borderlands on the xbox 360 over last few days. I think the only thing that’s made me laugh this much before has been Mario Strikers on the Wii!

Echoes of Bioware from days past…

    2009 - 11.08

Well the majority of the last three days’ free time has been playing Dragon Age: Origins. Been a while since I enjoyed a game as much as Mass Effect (note I’m talking about the original, not 2), the original Neverwinter Nights, or Baldur’s Gate (either). I can see this one getting several plays just to see how differently you can manage things as a Mage or Rogue. It’s unfortunate I didn’t get this while I was on leave a couple of weeks ago. There’s no doubt the story’s been given strong attention once again, and I’m already entwined in the machinations of the factions involved.

A lot of gaming to be had the next few weeks.
